DEAR SWEET BLESSED LORD HE’S COMING HOME HE DIDN’T DIE HE DIDN’T GET HURT YOU’RE SENDING HIM HOME I’M SO THANKFUL PLEASE WATCH OVER HIM ON HIS FLIGHT GIVE HIS WIFE PEACE AND LET HIM SEE HIS BEAUTIFUL FAT BABY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE.

HE’S WAITING IN KUWAIT FOR HIS FLIGHT HOME AND I CAN BARELY KEEP MYSELF FROM LOSING MY EVER LOVING MIND AS I SIT HERE IN THIS RIDICULOUS LAND OF CUBICLES AND I THINK ABOUT HOW HARD HE’S WORKED AND HOW MUCH HE’S LOST AND HOW MISERABLE HE’S BEEN AND YET HE’S SHOWN HOW MUCH A PROMISE MEANS TO HIM AND DEAR LORD THANK YOU FOR BRINGING HIM HOME IN ONE GIANT TEXAN PIECE THANK YOU BLESS YOU THANK YOU.

I take it you have friends serving in Iraq. Hopefully he will now have the sense to get out of the services.

I'm afraid he does not actually have a choice. He still has several years to go and will likely be sent back within the next 18 months. But it is 18 months not in a a scary scary volatile land. So I'm grateful.
Feeling sappy and whatnot. Excuse total lack of humor. Can only conjur up ordinary, run-of-the-mill humor involving sheep and goats. Which is completely inappropriate.

How long has he been in? Since Afghanistan?
